  9.    File Plus Ver 1.8 incorporates a bunch of changes that have been
  10.    a long time in coming, including the changing of the primary
  11.    executable file from "DISKUTIL.EXE" to "FILEPLUS.EXE".

  13.    If you're upgrading from a version of File Plus prior to Ver 1.8,
  14.    please do the following before starting the Setup Program:
  15.  
  16.     (1) - Delete any Win95 Shortcuts associated with File Plus
  17.     (3) - Delete any groups for Windows or Win95 that File Plus
  18.         previously made on your system.

  24.     My apologies to those patching from 1.6D or earlier versions,
  25.     The setup program, doesn't convert the Configuration files from
  26.     really old versions of File Plus properly.

  28.     File Plus will now create new configuration files if they don't
  29.     exist.

  31.     Also if you want to use a set of default configurations:
  32.            Delete "FILEPLUS.INI" and "FPFTC.INI" from your File Plus
  33.            current directory and, if they exist, from your Windows
  34.        directory.
  35.     When you re-run File Plus, it will prompt you to create a new
  36.        set of files.

  38.     New Function--- File Search! Search for strings or hex values in files
  39.       spanning your system.
  40.     Major bugs fixed in the select by pattern routines.
  41.     File Plus will now check its current directory for its .INI files
  42.     A common-use Tool Bar and info line now appears above the windows.
  43.     Tree Mode displays iconic folders (prettiness feature).
  44.     Clicking on the iconic folders in the tree window will have the same
  45.       effect as double-clicking the entry.
  46.     Added a browse button to the Configure Button Panel, makes tracking
  47.       down that program you want to run a lot easier.
  48.     Directory and Tree window sizes are now adjustable with mouse
  49.       drag in Tree Mode.
  50.     New window size code introduced, should eliminate ALL problems
  51.       associated with window locations and sizes.
  52.     Configure Button mode now blocks input to the directory windows.

  165. almost all aspects of day-to-day managment of files and directories.

  167.     As a result, it's also EXTREMELY easy to point-and-click thousands of
  168. files and directories into oblivion if you don't pay attention to the built in
  169. safeties.

  171.     As a general rule, all functions in File Plus that can cause files and
  172. directories to be deleted or moved, will ask you for verification first.  For
  173. advanced users, these safeties can be turned off.
